Laura Monti is a wife, mother of a son and daughter, and grandmother of four. She currently resides in south-central Westchester County, New York and spends several months a year in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Laura has been a writer of poetry, short stories, and essays for many years, and uses techniques learned while obtaining an MAW and MFA. Her work has been published in several literary magazines as well as online networks. Laura’s stories often combine personal experience and/or knowledge of places visited or lived in, typically deriving the what if concept.
In addition to Shadows After Midnight, The Last Christmas Tree, a holiday novel, was published in 2012. A Christmas Match Made in Heaven, a holiday romance novel was published under a pen name in 2024.
